Gerald Seller

Jerry was born and raised in Calgary and before moving to the BC coast with his young family. The mountains, forest, and waters of the coast appeal to his outdoorsman’s soul. He enjoys the solitude of walking in the woods, is an avid golfer and fisherman and enjoys skiing and curling.

Jerry earned his BComm from the University of Calgary, then articled with Clarkson Gordon, earning his accounting designation in 1975. He joined Carlyle Shepherd & Co. as a partner in Prince Rupert in 1981. He enjoys working with clients to ensure their continued success in business, applying his business acumen and varied accounting and managerial knowledge. His strong audit background has enabled him to work with numerous First Nations groups on the North Coast contributing to their operational evolution and systems development.

 

Fritz Lotz

Fritz grew up in South Africa and a family immigration led him to beautiful Terrace BC. Most days you will find Fritz in the gym working hard at his bodybuilding but he still finds time to hike and mountain bike in the summer. In winter he enjoys curling with his friends.  

Fritz holds a degree in accounting from the University of Northern BC and is currently pursuing his professional accounting designation. He joined the CS&Co team in 2015 after graduating from University.

Charlotte Stam

Charlotte grew up in Birmingham in the UK and moved to Manchester UK to complete her bachelors degree in Mathematics with French.  During her time at university she had the opportunity to spend a year in Corsica teaching English as a foreign language to children aged 5 to 12.  The family moved back to her husband’s hometown, Smithers, in June 2014.  She has 3 daughters and enjoys spending free time (rare as it is!) skiing, hiking and biking.

Charlotte qualified as an accountant at KPMG, a worldwide major accounting firm, in 2011.  She spent 5 years with the firm, working in the Manchester, London and Basel (Switzerland) offices before joining CS&Co., Smithers in 2014.  She comes from a strong audit background, and enjoys the variety of working with a multitude of different clients, with different needs and focus areas.

Jamie Bennett

Jamie grew up in the Okanagan but the search for a slower pace of life brought him and the family to Terrace. He makes good use of the long summer days to golf, mountain bike or go hiking but in the winters you will find him either at the curling rink or on the ski hill.

Jamie holds an accounting degree from Okanagan University College and has over 15 years hands on accounting experience. He believes that by providing business owners with up-to-date financial information, this frees them up to do what they do best, run and grow their business.

Dorian Callison

Dorian grew up in Smithers and has lived there most of his life. He initially worked in Forestry, graduating from UBC with a bachelor of Science in Forestry. Eventually Dorian decided to follow in his parent’s footsteps and pursue a career in accounting. He enjoys hockey in the winter and slo-pitch in the summer. He volunteers with various organizations in the community.

 

Dorian obtained a diploma in accounting from the UBC Sauder School of Business in 2003. He then entered the CA School of Business, while training in Carlyle Shepherd & Co.’s Terrace office. Dorian obtained his CA designation in 2006 and subsequently moved home to Smithers.

 

Kathy Turner

Kathy has spent most of her life in BC, but also lived in Fort McMurray for several years. Prince Rupert has been home for thirty years and she loves the natural beauty of the area. She loves to travel, cook and keeps active through a combination of volleyball and racquetball.

Kathy began working in public practice as a teenager and has worked for several firms with different areas of concentration such as fishing, farming and the oil and gas industry. She joined CS&Co, Prince Rupert, in 1987 and enjoys working with clients, and sharing her knowledge and experience.

Marc Schibli

Marc was born and raised in Terrace and, after four years at the University of Victoria, has returned home to start his career. Marc spent his youth playing competitive hockey and stays active through rec hockey, skiing, and golfing in the summers.

He joined CS&Co. in June 2016 and is currently working towards his professional accounting designation.

Steve Kietzmann

Steve grew up in South Africa and spent a year in Terrace as a Rotary youth exchange student. The marketing campaign worked and Northwestern BC seemed the logical place to raise a family. He really appreciates the fresh air, mountains, fishing, curling (hurry hard!), snowboarding, the vibrant arts scene and the two-minute commute.  

Steve qualified as an accountant at Deloitte, a major international accounting firm, in 2000 and worked in both public practice and industry in South Africa and London before joining CS&Co., Terrace, in early 2009. He is passionate about working with clients and enjoys building meaningful long-term business relationships.

Wayne Callison

Wayne was born and raised in Dawson Creek, BC. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from UBC and then articled with Arthur Anderson’s Vancouver office, obtaining his CA designation in 1971. After 3 years in Bermuda with Coopers and Lybrand, CA’s he returned to Vancouver from the tax haven to work 2 ½ years for CRA as a small business auditor.

In 1977 Wayne moved to Smithers to run the Smithers office of Carlyle Shepherd & Co.

Wayne is an avid hunter, loves to fish, play hockey and get on his horse while he still can.  After 40 years of practicing his profession in Smithers and raising a family of three boys and a girl, in his own words “There is no place I would rather have worked, played and raised a family with my wife Andrea. I look forward to working with my son Dorian in the transition of our Smithers practice.”

 

Sharon Landrath

A vacation in Prince Rupert was enough to convince Sharon to leave the hustle and bustle of Vancouver city life behind her. As the newest member of our Prince Rupert team she’s been impressed with her warm ‘Rupertite’ welcome, loves seeing deer almost every day but is still getting used to the six-minute commute (down from an hour and a half each day).

Sharon has sixteen years of public practice experience and achieved her professional accounting designation in 2004. More recently, she spent eight years with the Office of the Auditor General of Canada auditing the Federal and Territorial Governments and their Crown Corporations and Agencies (including Not-For-Profit Organizations).
